Description Rare soviet mechanical Wolna (Волна, “Wave”) – precision soviet watch! MADE IN USSR!   Manufactured in 1960’s by Vostok Factory in Chistopol.   Soviet copy of ZENITH CHRONOMETER Cal. 135 which was launched by LeLocle, Switzerland in 1948. The mechanical 22 ruby jewels precision movement USSR wristwatches “VOLNA”. It is undoubtedly the best Soviet wristwatches ever made. The Soviet movement retained all of the key features and characteristics of the Zenith cal. 135. Nevertheless the Soviet watchmakers sought to improve the Swiss design, by adding 3 additional jewels, to arrive at the current 22-jewel movement. The 22-jewel movement used exclusively for the “Vostok Precision” line & the “Volna” (Wave) series of watches.
