This set investigates the process of energy conversion from electrical energy to mechanical energy and back to electrical energy again. Potential electrical energy in the batteries is converted into mechanical energy by the electric motor and  this mechanical energy is transferred to the dynamo through a simple belt and pulley system. The dynamo in turn converts the mechanical energy back to electrical energy to light up the LED.
